American drama means to me like a play a drama with americans.I think americans are very dramatic. The word dramtic means Plays, scenes, and events that are high in conflict and believability and that would command attention if staged in the theatre.I think we should change our class name to 11th grade honors American Dramatic Literuature. This sounds like more excting it would change the focus of the class because the name is more excting. And Dramtic are high in conflict so it makes the class better.I would lik e to see Dramatic plays and also read Dramatic books. If the class would make a play i would be a Director.Because i like to direct movies. And i think i would do a good job.

The term American drama to me means a type of attitude someone holds. It can be used to describe a person who is senstive and bothered by everything causing them to pick and nip at everything they dont agree with so most Americans have inherited this through there living spaces. The word dramatic means overly expressive in a sort of bad way because people tend to complain and nag about issues. Changing our name to th grade honors American Dramatic Literature would be a good idea because it would fit our characters and the types of books we may read. We would have to read certain types of books mainly plays because they hold that type of drama we are talking about. The only play I have ever heard of was Romeo and Juliet other than that I do not know what other types of plays we could see. I would like to be an actor but i would have to work on my memory and remembering my lines other than that I would enjoy being a actor.

The term " American Drama" brings alot to a persons mind. For example it can be talking about the actions taking place thoughout American and it can aslo mean the impotant role playings of the people of the Americans. For me it means both. The word "Dramatic" means exciting, expression of feelings in a active way. I think we should concider changing our class name to 11th Grade Honors American Dramatic Literature because it shows that we are an active class that knows how to show our feelings though DRAMA (acting). I would Like to see alot of different types of plays, for example historical like the color purple, fantasy like Into The woods, and drama between families like Romeo And Juliet.
If our class was to put on a play i think it will be a dramatic play because it will involve alot of different opinions and feelings. I think i would like to be a designer becuase im not good at actiing or directing. I think the best way to design a play like this is to use alot of different colors to match the different feelings everyone is having.

3-I think "dramatic" means striking in appearance.

4-Well i think we should not because drama is not my thing and it would change the class maybe by not using the computers.

5-I would like to see horror plays with gore, and plays about comedy etc....

6-I would rather not be anything because i dont like plays as much.

What does the term "American Drama" mean to you? To me American Drama probably means American People acting out something in their lives.

Are Americans inherently dramatic? well my opinion would be sometimes, but so are other race of people, it doesn't have to be Americans only.

What does the word "dramatic" mean in the first place? Dramatic means a way of acting, a way of over exaggerating.

Should we consider changing our class name to 11th Grade Honors American Dramatic Literature? I don't know you decide! Personaly I like that name.

How would this change the focus of the class? Well if you do change the class name, I think it won't change any focus in our class.

What kinds of plays would you like to see/read in this coming term? I would like to read A West Side Story, and other plays that have to do with Action, horror, ect...

If our class was going to put on a play, would you be the director, an actor, or a designer? I'll be A Director and an Actor.

Why? Well because I love to Act and I always wanted to get a chance to Direct a play or film.

In my opinion I think that American drama is any type of American literature. It can be a book, a novel, a skit, or even a musical. I think that all types of literature is dramatidc in it's own way.Dramatic is anything relating to drama or the theater and arresting or forceful in apperance or effect. If the class were to be changed to American Dramatic Literature I do not think that it would make any difference because all types of literature has it's own turning points. In this term I would like to read more non-fiction books because that is what I am the most interested in.If the class were to put on the play I would want to be the starring actor of the whole show because I love being the center of attention.I am a really good actor.....

To me the term "American Drama" means that people in America have a lot of different issues going on.

I believe everybody is dramatic in a certain point of their lives.

To me dramatic is when you make something small into something real big and you make a big deal out of it.

I think we should change our class name to 11th Grade Honors American dramatic Literature because everything we read in this class has to do with a lot of drama.

I would like to read/see plays about love and a lot of action.

If our class was going to put on a play, I would be the designer.

When i here the words American Drama i think of acting and plays!!!!! I think it means means a very dramatic story that takes place in some brilliant place where so many things happen!!!! I also start to think of a lot of love stories such as Romeo and Juliet and Othello but i know that these stories are not american but i can relate them to the term of american drama!!!!!!! I also think that we should not call our class such a long title even though many pepople in here are very dramatic!!!!! And like i said before the word "dramtic" is an action is taken over board and people seem to do that when its a bad moment in there life!!

I believe that us being students with a collaborative teacher like Mr.Rolapp, can become something to be proud of in the future. We have read so many diffrent types of literaures, poems and short stories and have learned so much from them . Our class manlt focuses, however, on American Literature. In my point of view i think of American Literaure as a way of showing how Americans live life in a dramatic way. Now i say in a dramatic way because in stories, many people exagerate what really happens so that the stories or books can seem interesting. "American Drama" to me is any type of play, short story, literature or show of something that is related to american life. All people in some point of their life are dramatic. I think it would be better to change out class name to 11th grade Honors American Dramatic literature becuase then it would be more specific about our type of reading. The plays that intrest me are the ones from Shakesphere. If our class would put on a play, i'll most likely be behind the scenes, or designer, becuase being behind the scenes is more comfortable and better for me.

1. American drama is famous literature/art of America.
2. The whole world is dramatic in their own way, not just America.
3. In my opinion, I think that dramatic is something that involves problems or actors that over-do their acting.
4. We could change the class to "dramatic" if the books that we would be reading are dramatic. People would think that we're reading Othello or Romeo and Juliet type of books.
5. Some people might like it and others wont.
6. I want to see action in the plays. I dont like the singing too much because then, it gets boring. The play should be fun and not too cheezy.
7. I would be all 3 of them. I would have to think about the role of the acting part. Im not sure if i would do it.

The word dramatic to me means a little extra. It can also mean performance or exxagerated.A lot of times in literature work is very dramati,so to change this class to American Drama english class will probably make this class a little more intereseting. It gives us students the idea that we will be exploring another side of American literature and what really goes on in the american world today. American drama to me means acting, performing, and being a little more open to the work of the Americans that will be displayed in this class. Turning this class in to a American drama class will also help us students explore our imagination on a much higher level. For example, putting on a performance(play). Dream Girls" would be a great play to use, simply because it gives the students a chance to show there more creative side. I would personally like to play the role of the main character or be a part of the design crew. I feel like I have a lot to offer in that stage of theater. Therefore, I feel that American Drama should really be apart of this class and being able to study or focus on the things that go on in the American society is makes me very much excited.

The term American drama means all the outcomes of how the issues in the world are handled, when 9/11 happened, the first thing that was brought to the presidents mind was war.Instead of handling the matter in a civilized way he wanted to get revenge. Also American drama can mean in terms of a course, that you are studying drama that originated in America. I believe that americans are dramatic. I think the word dramatic means for someone to overdo something or they are over the top. I think that we should because the name sounds so interesting. I think that the class would be more exciting and everyone would start to show a different side to them. I would like to see and read plays full of life and of course drama. I want to see and read plays that are beyond my imagination. I would like to be the director because I am good at putting things and people where they need to be. Loreen Lyons

For me the term American Drama means the Americans are over dramatic. They act out just for attention. It also a person that makes every little thing something big. I believe everyone is inherently dramatic at certain points in their lives. Dramatic means when somebody could expressed their feelings over their things and may exagerated, making little things into big things that really dont mind. I really thing that we should changed 11th Grade Honors American Dramatic Literature because we change certains in certain time in our life and because it would fit our characters and the types of books we may read. I would not be nothing of this because i dont and i dont like acting, being a designer or being the director. American People has so much drama that just because a certain person has a low self of asteam they want to cause problemsfor others. I think America is inherently dramtic basically because the way it was brougt up. The word dramatic means bad problems or someone who takes the littlest things so seriousely. To me american drama means a literary form that includes action.drama can be expressed in many ways like live performance, radio, film and television.American drama is usually experessed in theater and many dramatic plays.Americans are not inherently dramatic its something you get through life its not something you inherit. The word dramatic means the way you express youself through drama its when drama has alot4 of action thats why its called dramatic. I think thatthis class should be called 11th grade honors american dramatic literature because its a name that describes what we do in this class also its a very sophisticated name. this wiil definatly change the focus of this class because we will focus more in things like drama screen plays theater etc. I will love to see dramatic plays in this class. If we ever decided to make a play i would love to participate as an actor it would make a good experience.

Are we going to focus on just American Drama or all types of drama. It would change the focus of the class because we are going to be studying about different types of drama not just American Drama.

-I would like to see plays about love such as Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth.I would also like to see or read plays about our history.I've heard the color purple is a really good play and I am interested in either reading it or seeing it.

This wouldn't change the focus on the class but what it would do is it will have some stuidents look up to us as that class name 11th grade Honors American Dramatic Literature.
Types of plays i would like to see is a lot of dramatic plays and musical plays. Don't know of any plays right now. If our class was to make a play, I would rather be an actress than a designer or an director. Why? Because i can't see myself directing. And desigining, no, not me, I will leave that job with someone else! JUstine Rodriguez

To me i think the term "American drama" means how "Americans" are known to be very dramatic.Yes Americans are inherently dramatic because everyone on a every day basis is confronted by some drama and that is just part of a bein a normal person.Dramatic to me could be many words such as tragedy, and being sad.I actuallly do think the idea of changin the name to 11th Grade Honors American Dramatic Literature would make alot of sense because it just so happens that every book we read so far is very dramatic. But then again what book is worth to be read if it doesnt have any drama.Drama is very enetertaining to people because that is all u see on the television because it just so interestin to us.I would like to see any play that involves a lot of action like about a war or something like that.If we had a play i think i would choose to be a actor because i watch t.v and always thought wat would i do in those certain perdecaments.

"American Drama" are expressions on how you show yourself in life.
I would say..theres drama all around the world. Everyone is dramatic in their own way because..there are people who try to live life but they go through rough roads...and its very dramatic for them..cause its hard.
Dramatic has the same characteristics as drama. People who over react on a small conflict.
If our class would to be named "11th grade honors American Dramatic Literature."It will look better for us...because other students will think its averaged well.It may get other students interested to join. The focus of the class wouldnt change at all...well it depends what kind of literature their into. In the coming term i would like to see and hear about tragedy and love. If our class would put on a play. I would like to be an actor because I am the perfect "Drama Queen."
