Because in the story Oberon wants Demetrius and Helena to get married and uses it to make Demetrius fall in love with Helena and in Pyramus and Thisbe the father of Pyramus and Thisbe want their children to marry each other and to make them love each other they used revese psycology to bring them together so they built a wall and left a hole in the wall so they can talk to each other after the parents told forbad them to talk to each other.
Theseus serves in this story as a barrier or wall of some sort between Hermia and Lysander and how later in the story thanks to Oberon the barriar or wall crumbles and Lysander and Hermia get to marry each other in the story Pyramus and Thisbe the children are seperated by a wall but the wall speaking figuratly crumbles because of the whole in the wall and they get together and talk anyway. The themes of both "Pyramus and Thisbe" and A Midsummer Nights Dream is Love. In A Midsummers Nights Dream there are four lovers Lysander, Demetrius, Hermia, and Helena. In the play, Pyramus and Thisbe are two lovers. I believe the plot of the two storys is Unity. Unity between the diffrent types of loves that are found and made as the story goes on. In both storys lovers are seperated by obsticles that are against them. Such as parents, wars, hate, no love at all. All of these things can be compared to a wall. "Walls" in this case are made to stop or prevent things from happening between the lovers but with right action they can overcome the Wall.

The plot and theme's of Peter Quince's "Parymus and Thisbe" compare with the plot and theme's William Shakespear's A Midsummer Night's Dream is that A Midsummer Night's Dream is, in a way, Romeo and Juliet turned inside out. So the reason why i think that "Pyramus and Thisbe" is Romeo and Juliet because is about 2 young lovers but they can't be together because their parents does not want them to be together, and in A Midsummer night's dream is about eight lovers separated by their parents, war and differences. So there is a Big wall in the middle. Also these characters die for love.

The plot and theme of Peter Quince's "Pyramus and Thisbe" compare with the plot and theme of WIlliam Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream is that they both love stories , but also have obstacles keeeping the lovers from loving each other .For example in "Pyramus and Thisbe" there is a wall and parents separating Pyramus and Thisbe and in A Midsummer Night's Dream whats separating Lysander from Hermia is her father , her father perfers another suitor by the name of Demetrius.Which Helena dies for but demetrius doesnt love her. There is also action taken on purpose to cause a change in the stories for example in "Pyramus and Thisbe" this was plan all along .They wanted their children to stay together but since they know that young people dont always listen to their parents they try to make it impossible for them to keep them inevitably together. On A Midsummer Night's Dream Hermia doesnt listen to her father and runs off with lysander .They both got many things in common but they have different details. They both send the same message.Just in different ways.

The Plot of Peter Quince's "Pyramus and Thisbe" is very simular to William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, mostly because Peter Quice is Shakespeare. Both plays are about lovers who are being kept apart by the obsticals of life. In "Pyramus and Thisbe" there where two lovers being kept apart by a wall that was built by their parents. In A Midsummer Night's Dream, there are eight lovers that are being kept apart by their parents, the wars, and the absence of love. The themes of both plays is that no matter what obsticles life buts in your way true love always over comes.

Well the plot of Pyramus and Thisbe is pretty similar to a Midsummer Night's Dream. In Pyramus and Thisbe there is a wall blocking the two lovers from reaching each other. And in Midsummer Night's Dream there is 8 lovers seperated by parents, war, hate, and no love. But in Pyramus and Thisbe they were kept away on purpose because their parents built a wall to keep them away and the parents knew they would go against their authority.

The plot and theme of Peter Quince's "Pyramus and Thisbe" is similar to William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Why, Because both stories deal with love and romance. The plot of Pyramus and Thisbe is about 2 lovers who are separated by a wall, put there by their parents.
In A Midsummer Night's Dream, the plot deals with 8 lovers and how there love is separated by war, parents and hatered. The Theme of both of these stories is that love will always be separeted by a kind of wall, but no matter what are the obstacles you'll over come it.

The plot and themes of "Pyramus and Thisbe compare with the plot and themes of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream beacuse the themes are both similar. both plays have conflicts within finding love or roadblocks. In A Midsummer Night's dream 8 lovers are torn apart from love by war, hate and simply no love at all. While in Pyramus and Thisbe 2 lovers are seperated by a wall put up by parents to pull the two lovers apart

How do the plot and themes of Peter Quince's "Pyramus and Thisbe" compare with the plot and themes of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream?

The plot and theme of "Pyramus and Thisbe" compares to the one of "A Midsummers Night Dream", because the story is based on how in some kind of way lovers are being seperated by something. In "Pyramus and Thisbe" the two kids were sperated by a wall, where they only had a hole to comunicate from. In "A Midsumers Night Dream" they had many diffrent reasons why the lovers were separated. One reason was because of parents, another because of hate, no love, and finally also because of a war thats going on. This might be diffrent but it has the same meaning, its all a wall, just like in Pyramus and Thysbe. All I have to say Love cannot be managed or changed. You cannot make someone love someone else iof they dont want to and thats just a fact.

The plot of both of these stories are people who are separated due to the cause of love. In "Phyramus and Thisbe" the parents demanded that the children do not love each other , the parents then built a wall to separate both children. In the end of the story things didnt quite work out Phyramus and thisbe both killed themselves. In a "Midsummer Night's Dream" there were eight lovers separated by parents, love, war, and hate.In the end of this story you could say things kind of work out for everyone. The theme in both these stories is that love can never be separated or controlled in anyway.

The story of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream compares to Peter Quince's Pyramus and Thisbe, because both stories was about the love of two-eight people that were being seporated from there significant others for differen reasons. In AMSND, there were eight lovers being sporated by either the war, parents, no love and hate. In Pyramus and Thisbe both are being seporated by a wall built by there parents to prevent them from seeing each other (not really). Both parent knew that by building this wall their children were going to see each other, so they decided to pretend not to like each other so they then built it so their kids could fall in love and so they did. the theme of the stories was follow your feelings for yoour love.

I think that the themes are basically the same because in "Midsummer Nights Dream" and also in "Pyramus and Thisbe" there is love involved. There is basically a couple that are in love and want to be together but there are people interfering and obstacles that are holding them back from doing what they want to do which is get married and be happy.

Tamara>>>i think the plot and theme of midsummer nights dream do compare to peter quince's story because in the midsummer nights dream oberon wants demetris and helena to fall in love, and be married and tries to make demetris gain love for her. And in the pyramus and thisbe they want almost the same but with their children they want them to get married so that they fall in love with each other. So both of these plays have conflicts in them. Its about lovers who have obstacles that need to be overcamed to be with each other.

The theme of "Pyramus and Thisbe" compare to A Midsummer Night's Dream because they bothe involve love. In A Midsummer Night's Dream Oberon wants Demetrius to fall in love with Helena because he sees how desperateshe is for his love and only wants him to retaliate the love. So he gets a magical flower in order to make him fall in love with her.
In "Thisbe and Pyramus," the father of both Thisbe and Pyramus want his children to love eachother so in order to make them fall in love he forbid them to speak to eachother and built a wall to make sure they didn't do so. So in the process Pyramus and Thisbe made a whole in the wall in order for them to speak to eachother. The wall served as a barrier and the whole through the wall broke the barrier.
So the barrier in A Midsummer Night's Dream is Egeus. He deos not want to see Hermia and Lysander together because Demetrius love Hermia and not Helena but Oberon and the flower serve as the barrier because he plans to make Demetrius fall in love with Helena.

The plot and theme of Peter Quince's "Pyramus and Thisbe" compares to the plot and theme of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream because they are both mainly about love. Both stories are about lovers who are forbidden to be together by the command of their parents. In "Pyramus and Thisbe" the lovers are seperated by a wall that was built by their parents so they could not be together. In A Midsummer Night's Dream there are eight lovers but only two, Hermia and Lysander, who are forbidden to be together by their parents, but the other six have other barriers that are keeping them seperated. Helena and Lysander are seperated by no love. Titania and Oregon are seperated by jealousy and Theseus and Hippolyta are sepearted by war. I think that the theme in both plays is that no one should interfere with love. True love should always be found on its own.

The story of "Pyramus and Thisbe" is a story of how two lovers were not allowed to be together because their families had differences. They met in secret at a wall. This was the wall that seperated the families at which the lovers would talk to each other and kiss the wall because thay could not do it directly. When thay decided to meet elsewhere Thisbe was frightened away from the cite by a lion that took her viel as she ran. When Pyramus arrived he saw that her viel was torn he thought that she was killed he stabbed himself. When Thisbe came back to the cite she saw that he was dead and she killed himself.
In a Mid Summer Night Dream it was different. First of all it wasn't a tragidy it was a comedy. Helena loves Demetrius but he loves Hermia. Hermia loves Lysander and he loves her. Through the trifling of fairies and an enchanted flower, Demetrius falls for Helena. On the same day the king marries along with the lovers.
These stories are alike because love is seperated by barriars that don't let them be together the way that they would like.

The plot and themes of Peter Quince's "Pyramus and Thisbe" and the themes of William Shakespeare's -A Midsummer Night's Dream- are very similar. In the play of Pyramus, there are two lovers that can't be together because of a wall. Its like Lysander and Hermia, and Demetrius and Helena, because they're not allowed to get married.

In the play, I think that the "wall" represents the barrier that doesn't let them get married or love each other without hiding it. The "lion" represents Hermia's father, or Egeus, because he is in the way of the couple from getting married. And, I think that he would rather kill Lysander than let them be happy together. Later in the play, they kill themselves (separately), because they think that the other person died. So, they show that they can't live without each other. Hermia and Lysander, and Demetrius and Helena can't live without each other either.

The difference between these two stories is that one ends in marriage and the other ends in death. They are alike in the beginning, but then they have a huge turning point, which affects the outcome of the stories.

The plot of Peter Quinces and his stories..is basicly about people being seperated by the cause of love. In a
Midsummer nights dream 8 people had fallen into love but are forced to the ones they donot love...into marriage. In "Pyramus and Thisbe," Their parents occupied adjoining houses; and neighborhood brought the young people together, and acquaintance ripened into love. They would gladly have married, but their parents forbade. I would say that theme to both stories isto follow your heart to what you truly desire. To the world, you can be one person, but to one person, you can just be the world.

Well, I think the plot and the themes of "pyramus and Thisbe" of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream is there are four lovers and it can relate to Romeo and Juliet. This relate because they use symbol of love n they well sacrifies love.
This is a sence of love there name are Helena, pyramus,Demetrius,Lysander. In this story they want demetruis to married Helena and to use demetrius.also they wanted pymramus to married or fall in love with thrisbe. All this because they want them to married each other to use crazy style. They also trying to break the barrier.Like i was saying this relate because in romeo nad juliet they were different class and there parent had a barrier that they had to break but like they had jealousy, war, respect, and love that these couple could not be togther. That how these four lover have problem being together. There roles are that they play love and they have to kept apart. I believe that the plot and themes of Peter Quince's "Pyramus and Thisbe" compare with the plot and themes of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream because they are both love stories and they both have to go through a lot of trouble just to be with the person they love. In a Midsummer Night's Dream what's seperating Hermia and Lysander is Hermia's father because her father wants her to marry Demetrius, but Hermia loves Lysander. In "Pyramus and Thisbe" theirs is a wall that their parents built to seperate them, keep them apart. Also they both compare because thier parents dont let them decide for them selfs they want to make the decisions for them.

In "Pyramus and Thisbe" by Peter Quince, the characters are in love with each other but can't be together because their families are enemies in war. They love each other so much that in the end they both kill themselves. Pyramus stabbed himself and then Thisbe stabbed herself too. In "A Midsummer Night's Dream" by William Shakespeare, Helena is in love with Demetrius, Demetrius is in love with Hermia, Hermia is in love with Lysander, Lysander is in love with Hermia. It's a love triangle. Hermia and Lysander find it hard to be together because of their parents. In both stories, people who are in love can't be together because their parents have a problem with each other. In "A Midsummer Night's Dream", the story ends in marriage while in "Pyramus and Thisbe", they story ends in death. The themes are similar because the themes are about love without permission. Although they love each other they're not allowed to be together.

Well, "Pyramus and Thisbe" and Shakespeare's "Midsummer Night's Dream" are very alike because in a there both love stories. They remind me of "Romeo and juliet" because there both love stories were couples are separated by their parents, or different social classes or war they also end up stabing themselves. In "Pyramus and Thisbe" Pyramus and Thisbe are separated by there parents and in A Midsummer Night's Dream Lysander Hermia are being separated by her father because he wants her to marry demetrious and wich Helena dies for but demetrius did not love her. They both give the same messege just in different ways. Shakespere's "A Midsummers night dream" it ends in marrige but "Pyramus And Thisbe" ends up in death but there both stories were the characters are fighting for love. Sthefany Capellan

The plot and themes of "Pyramus and Thisbe" and A Midsummer Night's Dream is in "Pyramus and Thisbe", they were two lovers who's parents didn't want them together so thier parents made a wall between them so that they won't speak or see each other.
In Midsumer Night's Dream, Helena loves Demetrius and Lysander and Hermia loves each other but Demetrius does not love Helena, he loves Hermia. Egeus, the father of Hermia, does not want his daughter to marry Lysander. Hippolyta and Theseus also wanted to be together but since they both came from two different towns, a war was their barrier. And Titania and Oberon wanted to be together as well but jealousy was keeping them apart.
The comparison between the two is that both stories were dealing with lovers who each had barriers keeping them apart.

The theme and the plot of A Midsummer Night's Dream is compared to the theme and the plot of Peter Quince's "Pyramus and Thisbe" because hermia lkes lysander and they cant be together. see in "midsummers night dream" Lysander and Hermia parents always kept them from each other. thats wat kept them from really feeling that passionate intamate relationship with each other. In "Pyramus and thisbe " its basically the same thing as A Midsummer Night's Dream. Pyramus and thisby parents kept them from each other as well. See "Pyramus and thisby" is a tragedy while on the other hand A Midsummer night's Dream is a comedy. Both stories were basically love stories that's why the theme of both stories are simuler. their were people in there lives that wanted to keep them from each other when thy wanted to be together
