GENERAL - Malcolm and Job

In Chicago Elijah Muhammad publicly likens Malcolm to the biblical figure Job. Do you agree or disagree with this comparison? Why?

In order to make an informed decision and to support your opinion, you'll need to do a little web research on Job. You may use either primary or secondary sources. Craft your answer into a well-constructed paragraph of at least six sentences.

Job is described as a rich, blessed man who fears God and lives righteously.i agree with Malcolms friend because god probably has a reason for putting Malcolm in jail. And Malcolms friends probably see's god's message

yes I agree with the comparison but then again i don't agree with the comparison because before he went to jail he was simarliar to job.But then he went through a reinavation so nhe was a changed person.

I really agree with Elijah Muhammad because job is a character that is described as a rich, blessed man who fears God and lives righteously. Satan, however, challenges Job's integrity, and so God gives Job into Satan's hand, ending in tragedy for Job: the loss of his children, wealth, and physical soundness. That the case of Malcom X probably god has a reason for putting Malcolm in jail. When he got there he lost he's family, and know he has a lot of problems to encountered in life and they both suffer.

i agree and disagree with ejiah muhammad because job is described as a rich blessed man who fears god and lives rightelously Satan, however, challenges Job's integrity, and so God gives Job into Satan's hand, ending in tragedy for Job: the loss of his children, wealth, and physical soundness. The main portion of the text consists of the discourse of Job and his three friends concerning why Job was so punished, ending in God answering Job. Job is also a prophet in Islam.i agree with the wealth and blessed part because first malcom was wealthy he had robbed alot and had alot of things the blessed part i agree because he did alot of drugs and nothnin happened to him and he went to jail and he got applead also he got a job right away when he first went to boston he got alot of good things thats why i say he is blessed another part is the 3 freinds part malcom got 3 freinds the part and also malcom fears god because he isnt relgious dosent go to church etc also i disagree because job lives his life righeously malcom dosent malcom did drugs robbed did alot of bad stuff he di d thats not living rightelously also god answered job malcom got answered a way becuse he saw jesus he was a brown skinned man with oily black hair he ddidnt know at 1st it was jesus then he found out

he is the same becausejob was faithfulto jesus and he thinks malcom would be faithful to god to

>>> TAMARA......i agree because job is a biblically that is part of the Tanakh and of the Christian Old Testament. this became the book of job can also be spelled (jobe) also know as the main character of the book of job. job was handed over to satan so malcom feels a sort of connection with jiob of the way he suffures. mailcom suffers in jail and job sufferd went he was sent down to hell with the devil satan.

I do not understand why Elijah Muhammad would compare malcolm to the biblical figure job. But i could see where he was coming from job went through alot in his life because he was given to the saitain and malcolm was going through alot because he was on drugs and he did go to prison for being with a white woman but in the end these to men overcome the end because thye both still appreciate god!!!

In my opinion I agree with Elijah Muhammad because Job is a biblical figure in the hebre bible. Job has suffered a lot because he was handed down to satain by jesus and he had lost everything but still believes in god at the end.Malcolm compares to him because they both faces alot of problems.

Job is described as a rich he is described as a rich, blessed man who fears God and lives righteously. Satan, however, challenges Job's integrity, and so God gives Job into Satan's hand, ending in tragedy for Job: the loss of everything he has.I thnk that Malcolm is like Job because Malcolm losses everthing he has and he lived badly like Job that Satan challenged him like Job once did

I agree with Elijah Muhammad.
job is described as a rich, blessed man who fears God and lives righteously, in the Bible. Job falls into Satan's hands. Later on Job is still faithfull to God. This is Smilar to MAlcom becuase MAlcom also falls into deep trouble and then later comes back up and has faith. Both Malcom and Job have similar problems.

I agree with Elijah Muhammad because, job is described as a rich, blessed man who fears god andlives righteously.I think he compares him to Job because Malcolmis in jail and thats probably gods way of punishing him, because he is brave and blessed but sometimes makes the wrong decisions but tries to do right.

i think it's a good comparison because job had bad misfortune and job was given to satan. Job lost everything. But in the end he learned something and god gave him everything in larger quantities. So malcom was doing bad but when he finds god, he will be blessed.

I dont agree when Elijah Muhammed compares Malcolm to Job from the bible because in the bible job is described as a perfect and upright man what I've read on Malcom X
Malcolm has commited many mistakes in his life. Then again Malcolm could be a good example of what Job has gone through god put alot of obstacles and and made very harsh things to him just prove how faithful he is to god and Malcolm is finally in a religion and decides to make a change in himself

I do believe that the comparison is right, but at the same time its wrong. Malcolm was compared to Job by Elijah Muhammed because Job was a biblical figure that had to suffer a lot to prove the greatness of God. Its because Malcolm had to believe in Islamic religion when he was in jail and other people didnt understand him. He also tried to convert people so that they could understand the truth. The only thing is that Malcolm isnt completely good. He was corrupt before, but now he is changing into a better, new person.

In my point of view, I believe MAlcolm sort of does relate to Job because they both lose everything but they botrh found thier way through and believe in their God.

These two characters relate in many small ways. The fact that malcolm and jobe worship god but still have thier own beliefs for watever reasons, is wat makes this person say that they are similar.
